for the 2-day Sahara desert tour to Zagora dunes. It sounds like a wonderful experience, especially for those who are short on time but still want to experience the beauty of the Sahara desert. The itinerary includes a variety of interesting stops, including Ait Benhaddou village, Ouarzazate, and the Draa Valley, which should provide a good overview of the region’s history and landscape. The camel ride and overnight stay in the nomadic tents sound like a great way to experience the desert, and seeing the sunrise over the dunes in the morning is sure to be a memorable moment. Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8h30 in the morning. Drive through the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass towards Ait Benhaddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Once you reach Ait Benhaddou village, you take a short walk around this fortified kasbah. Afterward, drive to Ouarzazate for lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, you will carry on a drive to the south and cross the second pass which is Tizi N’Tnifift at 1710m and Ait Saoun village, the former route of caravans for Sahara traders coming from “Tombouktou”, you will reach the first administrative center called “Agdez Village” that marks the source of Draa Valley, with it’s 6 successive palm groves stating (Mezguita palmary, Fezouata…) and Kasbahs stating the famous Tamnougalt Kasbah. You will continue through the lunar landscapes and the Pre-Sahara routes until you get to Zagora which is a small town. You will take a camel ride to the camp and enjoy dinner and overnight in the nomadic tents.
wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast in the bivouac, then ride the camels back to meet your driver, then drive back to Marrakech, you will pass via Ouarzazate and have free time for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will continue via the Atlas Mountains to get to Marrakech. Drop off at your hotel.
